Booking a table at a good Madrid Italian restaurant is easier if you know the codes. This quick guide covers the essentials.
When should you book ahead?
For any Friday or Saturday evening in the centre, book 5-10 days ahead. Midweek 1-2 days is usually enough. For large groups (6+) or special dates (Valentine's, holidays), book 2-3 weeks ahead.
What to ask when booking (allergies, special occasions)?
Always mention allergies or intolerances when booking, not when seated. If you're celebrating a birthday or anniversary, mentioning it allows the restaurant to prepare a touch. Ask about vegetarian or gluten-free options if you need them.
